Your file, by the numbers.

  • PDF, AI, EPS or SVG work best; we check any file you send.
  • Foil is one solid color: no gradients or photos in the foil parts.
  • In the designer, choose Foil for any text, line or shape, then its color.
  • A custom size: set the file to your size plus 0.125 in (3 mm) of bleed on every edge.
  • Draw square corners; we cut rounded ones.

    Make sure your background and any photos extend to fill the bleed, 3 mm (0.125 in) past the trim on every side, so there are no white edges after cutting.

What to know before you order.

Which cards can have foil?

Letterpress, Uncoated, Plastic (30 mil and 33 mil) and Laminated.

How is foil priced?

Per color and per side: one color on one side is one price, and each extra color is priced the same way. Both sides cost twice one side. The price per card falls as the quantity goes up.

How long does it take?

Cards with foil take 5–7 business days to make, plus shipping.

What foil colors can I choose?

Black Gold, Blue Gold, Bright Gold, Bright Silver, Green Gold, Matte Gold, Matte Silver, Red Gold, Rose Gold, Aged Gold, Muted Purple Gold, Laser Silver. You can use more than one on a card.

Which card should I put foil on?

Letterpress if you want foil pressed into thick cotton, next to a deboss or painted edges. Uncoated for foil on a textured paper you can write on. Laminated for the lowest price and bright full color around the foil. Plastic for foil on a waterproof PVC card.

Will you check my design before printing?

Yes. We check every file before it’s printed. If something needs fixing, we contact you before we print.

Can I order different papers or sizes together?

Add them as separate items; each design in one item shares the same options.
