Make it yours.
Your file, by the numbers.
- PDF, AI, EPS or SVG work best; we check any file you send.
- Foil is one solid color: no gradients or photos in the foil parts.
- Draw square corners; we cut rounded ones.
- Bleed area
Make sure your background and any photos extend to fill the bleed, 3 mm (0.125 in) past the trim on every side, so there are no white edges after cutting.
- Trim
This is where we aim to cut. The trim size is the finished size.
- Safe area
Keep anything important, such as text and logos, inside the safe area, 3 mm (0.125 in) in from the trim; otherwise it may be cut off.TBC

Foil Postcards, explained.
What to know before you order.
Which cards can have foil?
Both: Laminated and Uncoated.
How is foil priced?
Per color and per side: one color on one side is one price, and each extra color is priced the same way. Both sides cost twice one side. The price per card falls as the quantity goes up.
How long does it take?
Cards with foil take 5–7 business days to make, plus shipping.
What foil colors can I choose?
Black Gold, Blue Gold, Bright Gold, Bright Silver, Green Gold, Matte Gold, Matte Silver, Red Gold, Rose Gold, Aged Gold, Muted Purple Gold, Laser Silver. You can use more than one on a card.
Can I mail these as postcards?
A 4 × 6 in card up to 0.016 in thick mails at the USPS postcard rate: 13pt, 15pt and 16pt cards, except 16pt Absorbent paper (0.53 mm). Larger cards and 32pt cards mail at the letter rate. Ask your post office if you are unsure.
Will you check my design before printing?
Yes. We check every file before it’s printed. If something needs fixing, we contact you before we print.
Can I order different papers or sizes together?
Add them as separate items; each design in one item shares the same options.
