Matte or gloss: which finish should I choose?
Gloss lamination and gloss varnish make photos and colors look brighter, with a shine. Matte lamination has no glare and reads well under bright light. Soft-touch is a velvety matte film that feels soft in the hand. All four are for coated paper and cost the same; pearl, white card and fine ultra white paper stay uncoated.
What’s the minimum order?
200 pieces. You can order 200, 500, 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000 or 5,000; for more than 5,000, contact us.
How heavy is the paper in US weights?
157 gsm is about 106 lb text, 200 gsm about 74 lb cover, 240 gsm pearl about 89 lb cover, 250 gsm white card about 92 lb cover, and 300 gsm about 111 lb cover. 157 gsm folds easily; 250 and 300 gsm feel like card stock.
Which sizes can you print?
Flyers come in 4 × 6, 5 × 7, 4 × 9 (rack card), DL (99 × 210 mm), 5.5 × 8.5, 8.5 × 11, 8.5 × 14 and 11 × 17 in. Brochures are sized flat, before folding: 8.5 × 11, 8.5 × 14 or 11 × 17 in. Or enter your own size: 99–600 mm (about 3.9–23.62 in) a side, up to 0.144 m² (223 sq in), a little more than 12 × 18 in.
How big is a tri-fold brochure when it’s folded?
An 8.5 × 11 in sheet folds down to about 3.67 × 8.5 in, which fits a #10 envelope and a standard brochure rack. An 8.5 × 14 in sheet folds to about 4.67 × 8.5 in.
What’s the difference between a tri-fold and a Z-fold?
Both fold the sheet in three. A tri-fold (letter fold) tucks one end inside the other, so the inner panel is hidden until it’s opened. A Z-fold zigzags like the letter Z, so it opens out in one pull and both ends show.
Is the price for one side or both?
Both: flyers and brochures are printed full color on both sides, at the same price as one side.
How is the price worked out?
By the flat size of the sheet: the larger the sheet, the more it costs, and each piece costs less as the quantity goes up. Folded brochures add a folding fee, the same for every fold. We can’t print sheets over 0.144 m², a little more than 12 × 18 in.
Can heavy paper be folded?
Pearl Paper 240gsm and White Card 250gsm fold in half or in thirds; they need a score line before folding, or the fold can crack, and scoring is included in the folding fee. Coated Paper 300gsm and Fine Ultra White 300gsm are too thick to fold cleanly, so they come flat only: choose 250 gsm or lighter for a folded piece. Gate folds and 4- and 5-panel accordions are made on Coated Paper 157gsm and Coated Paper 200gsm only.
Can I design my flyer online?
Not yet: our online designer makes business cards. Upload your file (PDF, AI, EPS or SVG work best), or have our designers make it for you.
How long will my order take?
Production takes 2–3 business days and starts once we’ve checked your file; we contact you first if anything needs fixing. You choose shipping at checkout.
Can I order different papers or sizes together?
Add them as separate items; each design in one item shares the same options.
